Family Reunion

What a blast it was seeing everyone again.  We drove up to NY on Thursday.  Little T did pretty good on such a long trip.  L slept the whole way only to wake for food. be a teenager again!  Big T's mom is doing well.  She looked great and is getting around pretty good.  She loves it when all her kids and relatives get together like this and just sat there basking in her joy.

While we were there I was able to get up with my brother.  Wow, have his kids grown!  The 3 younger ones are getting so big and the oldest one is going to college.  Hard to believe that we have kids old enough to be in college. It had been 2 years since we talked and it felt good getting caught up.

Here are some pictures - I'll post more in another post!

Little T with a gummy lifesaver on her nose!

Little T with Jasmine and L.  Jasmine loves to be on your shoulders when we go on a road trip.

This is my brother's 4 kids.  The big guy next to L is the oldest and is the same age as T.  The three in the front are triplets with the girls being identical.  And yes, you are seeing red hair - don't you just love it??

The next pictures are random shots at the reunion.

A Few Pictures

I have a ton of pictures from our trip to NY and our family reunion.  We had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing everyone again.  I am taking pictures for T & T's wedding so I'm practicing shooting RAW and then making changes.  Here are 2 pictures that I played around with tonight.  Other pictures of the reunion to follow shortly!!

Happy 4th of July!!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!  We hung out here at the house, cooked out, swam and enjoyed some fireworks in the backyard.  I was going to take Little T to see the big fireworks but when we went outside and she heard the booms she got scared so I quickly nixed that idea.  Interesting that last year we had been home a few days and she seemed to enjoy them.

Some friends of ours have moved to Alaska.  We just became close these past few months when our boys were playing baseball together.  Funny, we went to the same church but never really talked.  I guess spending every single night at the ball field will do that!  Her husband asked her to marry him again on their last Sunday at church with us.  How sweet was that?  He got right down on his knee and proposed in front of everyone.  They did the ceremony and then had a nice little cookout afterwards.

Speaking of being married, Big T and I just celebrated 23 years together.  It's hard to believe that we've been married that long!  He's a great husband and an even greater dad.  He's my rock and I know that he will always be there and support me.
